AVISO Engage
By Alison Tucker
Did you receive an email that looks a little different? East Central College has a new program to facilitate communication between students, faculty, advisors, and success coaches. You may get Aviso notices if you miss classes or have high (or low) midterm grades.
Beyond the emails, eastcentral.avisoapp.com is one place you can go to check your attendance, determine your grade from the Online Learning (Moodle) system, review an unofficial transcript, and complete tasks, such as the application for graduation, that may have been assigned to you from your advisor.
What should you do if you get an email from an instructor, advisor, or success coach that indicates your grade or attendance isn't where it should be? First off, know we want you to succeed. It is hard to admit that things aren't going well, but now is the time to act!
- Read your emails
- Reach out to your instructor
- Seek out and accept help from the many FREE academic support services available to all students (click for links to the ECC web page):
